BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.....
Fall is the busiest time of year for those of us in the wine business north of the Equator. Last year's vintages to be
bottled or racked, barrels to be cleaned, crushers and presses whirling with incoming grapes,... the days are not 9-5. More
like 6 am to midnight. Many, many thanks to our hardworking cellar team for making it all work!
This year we are very
excited about our Chardonnay - from the famed Sangiacomo Vineyards and our Merlot - from the beautiful tiny Hopper Creek vineyard
located just at the southern tip of Yountville. (By the way, if you haven't tasted our recently released 2000 Hopper Creek
Merlot you are missing out on a great treat. Loaded with fruit, velvety and supple, it is absolutely delicious... )
